My Scooby Stuff - Day 120 - Scooby Water

Day 120 - Scooby Water

I found this Scooby-Doo water a few years ago and bought it for my collection. I had no idea they made Scooby-Doo water! It was a really cool find!

The case includes 12 bottles of purified water.

The water is copyright 2006 and made and printed in the USA.

April Fan Spotlight - Wendy

Wendy has been a Scooby-Doo fan for years and she has quite an extensive collection of Scooby-Doo merchandise. I like her detailed answers to my questions. I also really like how she displays all of her Scooby stuff.

Check out Wendy on Twitter!

Wendy reminds me of Velma in this picture...perfect way to capture her and Scooby together!

What was the first Scooby series you ever watched?

While I can't say that I remember my very first introduction to Scooby-Doo, I'm almost positive that
it was either “The Scooby-Doo Show” (1976) or “Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo” (1979). I was a kid in the very late '80s, very early '90s, and my introduction to Scooby, I'm sure, came from the USA Network's Saturday morning Cartoon Express block, and I never remember them airing ANY episodes from the first two “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?” seasons. It was always the later series. This likely explains why I love Scrappy and why “The Scooby-Doo Show” is still my absolute favourite!

Who is your favorite member of the gang and why?

Freddy is definitely my favourite member of the Scooby gang. He's a natural-born leader, highly
intelligent and organized, can think on his feet, is good in a crisis, routinely exhibits bravery, ingenuity, and dependability, and he's got good looks to boot – he's everything I want to be!

What is your favorite Scooby item in your collection?

My favourite piece is also one of my first -- a 1980 jumbo 44” Mighty Star Toys plush Scooby-Doo,
bought from a flea market when I was about 5 years old. For many years, I didn't want to go to sleep
without him. Now this well-loved item is the centerpiece and star of my collection!

What is one Scooby item you would love to add to your collection?

Not always easy to pick just one! I REALLY would love to find the 1973 Scooby-Doo and the Headless Horseman metal lunch box, and the 2000 Scooby-Doo Talking Animated Telephone. But if I'm choosing that one ultimate collectible, it's going to be the 1977 Imperial Toy Corporation Scooby-Dee push puppet. My favourite colour has always been pink, and so a female version of Scooby-Doo who wore a pink collar was pretty much my dream as a child. I'm disappointed that there aren't really any other Scooby-Dee collectibles, but I guess that's to be expected of a character who was in only a single episode. All the more reason this is my ultimate collection dream piece!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 119 - Scooby Magic Towel

Day 119 - Scooby Magic Towel

This unopened Scooby-Doo Magic Towel is pretty cool with Scooby looking like he's sliding across the floor and the spooky eyes in the background. The towel measures 11.8" x 11.8".  You can find these magix towels at the Dollar Tree for $1.00.

The back has the instructions on how to make the towel grow and the copyright info. The towel is copyright 2010 and made in China.

Check out the other magic towel I posted on Day 99.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 118 - Scooby Baked Wallet

Day 118 - Scooby Baked Wallet

I bought this wallet because it was on clearance at Spencer's. It retailed for $16.99 and I bought it for $9.98. My biggest issue with this wallet is that I hate the stereotype that Shaggy and Scooby are stoners. It really annoys me that people say that! Just because Shaggy is hippie-ish and they like to eat a lot does not make them stoners!

The inside of the wallet has a nice design and a couple of pockets for change, money and cards. It has a Velcro closure and a key ring in case you want to keep a key in your wallet.

This is what the wallet looks like when it is packaged for sale. Shaggy and Scooby look like stoners :(

The wallet is copyright 2015.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 117 - Baby Socks

Day 117 - Baby Socks

I got these Scooby-Doo baby socks from a friend. The same friend that got me the sleepy Scooby plush. These socks are too cute! I wish I had them when my kids were little!

The socks say "Scooby" on the bottom and that makes them non-skid to keep a child from slipping on the floor, though I'm not sure these would fit a child that could walk.

Scooby is on both sides of the socks. The socks are copyright 1998.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 116 - Scooby Pen

Day 116 - Scooby Pen

I found this Scooby-Doo pen in a geocache a few years ago. I took it from the cache and left a small trinket behind. Even though the pen is cracked and in rough shape, I couldn't just leave it in the cache.

The pen features Scooby being scared.

The pen is copyright 2002 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 115 - Scooby Metal Sign

Day 115 - Scooby Metal Sign

I got this metal Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? sign at Hobby Lobby. It retailed for $17.99, but I had a 40% off coupon. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to have it for my collection. It's so colorful and Scooby looks totally cute! The sign measures 9.8" x 12".

I was not able to find the copyright year, but it was made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 114 - Scooby Color Wonder

Day 114 - Scooby Color Wonder

I found these Crayola Scooby-Doo Color Wonder pages a while ago and thought they would be a nice addition to my collection. My thought was that some day I would color them, frame them and hang them up. For now, they are going to stay in the packaging so they don't get messed up.

The cool thing about these is that they say they are from Easton, PA, which is very close to where I live. I have been to the Crayola Factory, which is now called the Crayola Experience, in Easton, PA several times. I've even seen Scooby in the area of Crayola before.

The Mystery Machine Tour of 2012 took place right outside of The Crayola Factory in Easton, PA. Check out my pictures from the tour here.

The Color Wonder pages are copyright 2012.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 113 - Haunted Pumpkins Book

Day 113 - Haunted Pumpkins Book

I got this Scooby-Doo! The Haunted Pumpkins book from my hubby as a gift. It's in good shape for it being a used book. It still has all of the flash cards in it too.

The back of the book has a picture of the gang being goofy, a little preview of the book and a very short explanation of how the book works.

Here is a picture of one of the pages. You can see they use little pictures and words to tell the story. I really like the picture of Shaggy holding Scooby.

The book is copyright 2001.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 112 - Scooby Ice Pack

Day 112 - Scooby Ice Pack

This Scooby-Doo Ice Pack is really cute! It has come in handy over the years when someone in the house needed to put ice on an injury. Way more fun than using normal ice!

The back of the ice pack is smooth so you can apply it to your skin. It's not freezing cold like ice would be so you can place it on your skin without wrapping it in something.

The tag is a little frayed from having it for so long.

The ice pack is made of 100% polyester, copyright 2007 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 111 - Shaggy Bass Magnet

Day 111 - Shaggy Bass Magnet

This Shaggy Bass Magnet has been on my fridge for years. Like the Scooby magnet I posted on Day 42, this magnet was pretty dusty and needed to be cleaned off.

Shaggy still has his green shirt and brown pants while he's rockin' the long coat and hat.

This magnet is copyright 2005 and Made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 110 - SDWay DVD Set

Day 110 - SDWay DVD Set

This Limited Edition cardboard Mystery Machine holds the Scooby-Doo Where Are You! Complete Series DVD Collection! It is 8 DVD's with 41 episodes. There are several special features in the set.

Here is the back of the DVD set, which is a card insert. It lists the special features, gives more info about what is included in the set and has some pretty cool artwork.

Here are the sides of the box. Look at the cheesy smiles on the gang! I really like that they have some cool Scooby stickers on the back of the Mystery Machine. And they put a license plate on it that says "Scooby-Doo". Finally, a license plate!!

This is the top of the box. It has nice artwork on the top too. This set is copyright 2012. Some parts were made in the USA and some in Mexico. This is the 2nd SDWay Complete Series Set that I posted. The first was Day 33!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 109 - Inflatable Scooby

Day 109 - Inflatable Scooby

I've had this inflatable Scooby for a long time. He's easy to inflate, but he doesn't hold air very well. I inflated him this morning to take pictures and by the end of our photo shoot, he was having a hard time standing upright because he was losing air. You can see his front feet are a little weird. When you squeeze his legs he squeaks.

Here are a couple of side shots of inflatable Scooby. I think the one (on the right) where you can't see his face looks more like the shape of Scooby. You can really see his feet are losing air in that picture.

Here is a close-up of Scooby's face and his tag. Scooby's face doesn't totally look like him because his snout and mouth look like they are detached from his face. I love the tag and could totally see myself taking it off of this Scooby and attaching it to my jacket as a zipper pull.

Inflatable Scooby is copyright 2002 and made in China.
