My Scooby Stuff - Day 273 - Mystery Machine with Gang Sticker

Day 273 - Mystery Machine with Gang Sticker

I bought this Mystery Machine Decal on Amazon. It was just something that I found that I decided to buy when I bought some other stuff.

The decal is copyright 2015.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 272 - Scooby Toothbrushes

Day 272 - Scooby Toothbrushes

I found these Scooby-Doo Toothbrushes at Giant while I was food shopping. They were on sale for $2.49. I couldn't pass them up! This set has a blue and an orange toothbrush.

Scooby is on the handle of the toothbrushes. I like the one with Scooby with the bones behind him. The dots are ok too, but I feel like the bones are more fitting.

The back of the package is very plain. The toothbrushes are for ages 4-8, extra soft and you can use them to clean your tongue.

The toothbrushes are copyright 2012 and made in China.

September Fan Spotlight - Amanda

Amanda

Meet Amanda! She was another person that answered my tweet in July about looking for volunteers for the spotlight posts.

Amanda does cosplay as Velma and goes to conventions with her friends, who sometimes dress as the other members of Mystery Inc! Her boyfriend dresses as Shaggy and her friend Roxanne dresses as Daphne. By far, Amanda's favorite Scooby movie is Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders!

You can find Amanda on social media:

1. What was the first Scooby series you ever watched?

The first Scooby series I ever watched was A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, but I remember watching What's New, Scooby-Doo? a lot more, because I was four when it started airing. Scooby was super popular on Cartoon Network when I was little, so I really lucked out!

2. Who is your favorite member of the gang and why?

My favorite member of the gang is Shaggy because he has the best jokes, the kindest heart, and he’s just so cute! He’s also a lot braver than he seems, because even though he’s terrified, he faces his fears and thinks rationally! Shaggy also reminds me a lot of my boyfriend, and I love that he’s a groovy beatnik/hippie.

3. What is your favorite Scooby item in your collection?

My favorite Scooby item in my collection is my Shaggy plush. He was a birthday gift from my boyfriend!

4. What is one Scooby item you would love to add to your collection?

One Scooby item that I would love to add to my collection is the animated talking Shaggy and Scooby telephone! I’m sure I’ll get it someday!

Thank you Amanda for taking the time to do this spotlight! Your cosplay is amazing and looks like a lot of fun!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 271 - Hanna-Barbera Candy Sticks

Day 271 - Hanna-Barbera Candy Sticks

I got these Hanna-Barbera Candy Sticks at the Dollar Tree. They are pretty much pure sugar. The packages feature Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry and The Flintstones.

The back of the package has the nutrition info, ingredients and a picture of the characters.

There is another picture of the characters on the side of the package.

As you can see, sugar is the first ingredient, followed by more sugar. Amazingly, the nutrition facts are lower than I thought for them being made of sugar. The candy sticks are copyright 2014 and distributed in the USA.

Here are the boxes that the candy sticks come in. They feature Tom, Jerry, Fred, Barney, Dino, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Velma, Fred and the Mystery Machine.

This is what the boxes look like from the side.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 270 - Scooby Earrings

Day 270 - Scooby Earrings

I started using the letgo app last week to sell some things I have hanging around my house. (Some things is an understatement!) I decided to do a search for Scooby on the app just to see if anything came up. There was a bunch of Scooby stuff. Some I already have and some I really want but they have it priced way too high. I saw these Scooby earrings on there for $1 and I was sold! I was able to meet the person at my local Walmart, which is only 10 minutes from my house and on my way home from work.

These earrings are not official merchandise. They are handmade out of some type of plastic. I don't plan on wearing them, especially since I don't know if they have ever been in anyone else's ears, but I think they will make a nice addition to my collection. And you can't beat $1 for something Scooby related!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 269 - Scooby and Shaggy Birthday Card

Day 269 - Scooby and Shaggy Birthday Card

Another birthday card we gave to one of our kids. We gave him this in 2007, when he turned 5. It's a very cute card.

The inside has the Zombie chasing Fred and Velma. They seem to have been enjoying the party until the Zombie showed up!

The card opens a little more to reveal that he is also chasing Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby.

This is what the card looks like fully open.

The back of the card is plain. I think they should have put a Mystery Machine on the back. It would have made it look more exciting and the Mystery Machine is the only thing missing from the card.

The card is copyright 2004 and made in U.S.A. It cost $2.69 in the US and $3.39 in Canada.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 268 - Scooby Kids Winter Hat

Day 268 - Scooby Kids Winter Hat

This Scooby-Doo kids winter hat belonged to my kids. They have since outgrown it, so I'm confiscating it for my collection. The hat is black with a patch that has Scooby in front of a camouflage background.

Here is a close up of the patch. Scooby has his arms folded and, oddly, he has a red collar. I'm not sure why they gave him a red collar.

This is what the inside of the hat looks like. There is no tag on it anymore, so I don't know the copyright date.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 267 - Teeth Chatter Scooby

Day 267 - Chatterbox Scooby

I love this Teeth Chatter Scooby toy. It has wheels on the bottom and as you roll it along a flat surface the teeth chatter. It's so cute! Scooby stands 2 1/2" tall. I made a video of this guy in action. You can see it here on my YouTube Channel. I believe this was a Wendy's toy.

Scooby is very, very happy! He has the biggest grin on his face. Of course, it makes sense since he chatters his teeth.

You can still tell it's Scooby from behind, but I think that is mostly because of his collar and his ears.

Teeth Chatter Scooby is copyright 2007 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 265 - Gang Decal

Day 265 - Gang Decal

This decal is really cool! It has the gang being chased by 2 villains, Zombie and Phantom Shadow. I'm really considering putting this on my car. It would be really cool. And the white would stand out nicely.

I don't have a copyright date on this.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 263 - Velma Figure Holding a Book

Day 263 - Velma Figure Holding a Book

This Velma figure is holding a book. She is a Character Options figure and stands a little over 2 1/4" tall. Velma is part of the Mystery Mates set that comes with the Stone Age Scooby.

Velma has her iconic glasses and her orange outfit. She does not have any movable parts.

Velma is copyright 2008.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 262 - Scooby Birthday Card

Day 262 -  Scooby Birthday Card

Here is another Hallmark birthday card one of my kids got. It is really cool because it includes a maze on the inside. I like the purple and neon green colors they used.

The maze was never done, so the card remained in good condition. I just removed the writing from the picture.

The back of the card has the directions for the maze and a picture of Scooby.

The birthday card is copyright 2002.
