My Scooby Stuff - Day 249 - Revenge of the Kung-Fu Girl Comic

Day 249 - Revenge of the Kung-Fu Girl Comic

I couldn't even tell you where I got this comic book. It is pretty cool though. Anything with martial arts and Scooby is cool! This comic is number 91 in the series.

Here is one of the ads in the comic book. They usually don't have Scooby in any of the ads, but this one had two Scooby DVDs and plush.

The comic is copyright February, 2005, and printed in Canada.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 220 - Scooby Apocalypse 1

Day 220 - Scooby Apocalypse 1

Cover: Jim Lee

Do you remember when Scooby Apocalypse was first talked about? The thought of the Scooby gang with guns, tattoos and looking more like people out of the walking Dead and less like the gang we all know and love was hard to grasp. I though it was going to be a mess and it would turn out to be really bad. But, like everything else Scooby, I'm giving it a chance.

The first issue came out in July 2016 and is rated T for Teen.

Credits include:
Keith Giffen - Plot & Breakdowns
J.M DeMatteis - Dialogue & More Dialogue
Howard Porter - Pencils & Ink
Hi-Fi - Color
Nick J Nap - Letters
Brittany Holzherr - Asst. Editor
Marie Javins - Editor
Based on a concept by Jim Lee

I've had the comics for quite some time, but I haven't read any of them, until today. I've decided that as I post them, I'm going to read them. Today, I read this comic and it turned out to be pretty cool! The gang is so different, between the way they are drawn and the characters demeanor. There are some similarities to the original gang, but these characters have lives, jobs and I think this comic could get very interesting! I'm looking forward to reading more.

This first comic release has 8 variant covers...and I bought them all for $3.99 each! The cover above, with the gang in color, seems to be the main cover and was done by Jim Lee and Alex Sinclair. The other covers were done by Howard Porter & Hi-Fi, Dan Panosian, Neal Adams & Alex Sinclair, Joelle Jones & Nick Filardi, and Ben Caldwell.

Here are the other 7 covers:

My Scooby Stuff - Day 190 - Jinxed Jet Comic Book

Day 190 - Jinxed Jet Comic Book

In this Gold Key Scooby-Doo Where Are You! Jinxed Jet comic book, the gang are whisked away to a mysterious island on a pilotless jet. It fits the spooky Scooby theme for sure. The comic features all 5 gang members. Wouldn't it be nice to pay 15 cents per comic book? (I think I say that every time I post one of the older comics!)

This comic book is number 11 in the series. It is copyright April, 1972, published bi-monthly and printed in the USA. I just noticed that there was a subscription price - $1.00 per year in the US, $1.30 per year in Canada and $1.55 per year in other countries. That's so weird to think about comics being that cheap considering the prices today.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 174 - Where Are You Comic 8

Day 174 - Where Are You Comic 8

Charlton Comics Scooby-Doo...Where Are You! number 8. This comic includes 2 stories - The Ghost of Grizzly Gulch! and Time Machine Trauma. The Mystery Machine is green in this one too.

The cover features all 5 members of the gang. It sold for 30 cents. Wouldn't it be nice if comics were 30 cents now?

This comic is copyright June 1976.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 164 - Scooby-Doo Harvey Classics Comic

Day 164 - Scooby-Doo Harvey Classics Comic

This Harvey Classics Scooby-Doo Comic is pretty cool! It's a #1! The cover only features Scooby, Shaggy and Fred and 2 purple dragons. Oddly enough, there are no purple dragons in the comics themselves, they are green. Daphne and Velma are in the comics as well.

The inside cover lists the people who worked on the comics. The 2nd page shows the green dragons and the Mystery Machine is also the green color and not pink, which was nice to see!

The comic is copyright Sept. 1992 and printed in the USA.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 150 - Mark of the Scarab Comic

Day 150 - Mark of the Scarab Comic

Scooby-Doo...Mysery Comics Mark of the Scarab. This is the other comic book I got at the Fairpoint Toy Show on Saturday. This is Mystery Comics No. 24 and it is dated April 1974. I bought it for $3, though the original $.20 would have been better!

Here are a couple of the pages in the book. Monkey See, Scooby-Doo is the other story in the book.

Again, the Mystery Machine is pink and green. I still don't understand why it is pink!

This comic is copyright 1974 and printed in the USA. Funny how is says "Published monthly except January, March, May, September and November." That is 5 months out of the year it isn't published...almost 1/2 the year!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 147 - The Miniature Haunt Comic

Day 147 - The Miniature Haunt Comic

I got this comic yesterday at the Fairpoint Toy Show. We searched through a ton of boxes to find some Scooby comics. I only found 2. The comic was $6, but I got it for $3 because they were 1/2 off. I love that the comic is purple! The cover is interesting.

The Mystery Machine is pink and green in this comic, which is really weird. Why did they choose pink? Was that an original concept for the Mystery Machine or was it just done this way for the comic?

This comic is copyright 1972 and printed in the USA.
