Day 351 - Mystery Machine Ornament
Hallmark made this Mystery Machine ornament. It is so cool! It's a usable Mystery Machine, the wheels move and it rolls. If you really wanted to, you could use it as a toy. I love the 3D Scooby head and the Christmas tree on the roof. This ornament was a gift to my hubby in 2001, but like his other stuff, I'm claiming it as part of my collection. The ornament measures 3" wide by 2 1/2" tall.
You can see the whole gang from the front, with Scooby hanging his head out the window. From the back, you can see they gave it a license plate of 2001, the year it was distributed as a Hallmark ornament.
From the other side, you can see everyone but Scooby. This is one of the first Mystery Machine items that doesn't give you a different view depending on which side you look at, though Shaggy is not in the same place on the front as he is on the sides. From the front, he's between Fred and Daphne, but on the sides, he is between Daphne and Velma.
The ornament is copyright 1999. Strange how it was copyright 1999 and not released as a Hallmark ornament until 2001.
The front of the box. I keep it in the box to preserve it and keep it from getting scratched.
The back of the box says "Looks like the Mystery Inc. gang has solved another mystery: where to get the grooviest Christmas tree. The holidays will surely be 'outta sight,' but count on the four teens and that great Great Dane Scooby-Doo to solve a few more capers before they're through."
The bottom of the box says it is copyright 2000 and made in Sri Lanka.
The top of the box just says Hallmark and has M '01 because it originally belonged to my hubby and he got it in 2001.
