My Scooby Stuff - Day 243 - Bottle Cap Scooby Magnets

Day 243 - Bottle Cap Scooby Magnets

I have a friend who made these Scooby-Doo bottle cap magnets for me.  They are really cool! They include Scooby, Shaggy, the Mystery Machine, the gang, the movie logo and even Scrappy.

I don't have a copyright date on these as they aren't official merchandise. They are a great addition to my collection.

August Fan Spotlight - Ashton

Ashton

About a month or so ago, I asked for volunteers that wanted to do the fan spotlight. Ashton was very gracious enough to accept the spot for August. He is a huge Scooby fan and he has an awesome collection!

1. What was the first Scooby series you ever watched?

I wanna say Scooby-Doo Where Are You, it’s such a distant memory but a funny story. My dad was driving with me in the back when there was this fire in a field by a barn. He stopped to help get the fire out before it got to the animals and the barn. A bunch of neighbors came out to see what was going on and my dad asked a lady if she could go get me from his car. I was little so I didn’t really understand what was going on. Anyways she took me into her house and when they got the fire under control the lady that had taken me brought me back and told my dad she just turned Scooby-Doo on for me. After that I’ve always loved Scooby-Doo for as long as I can remember.

2. Who is your favorite member of the gang and why?

This one is hard because I feel like every iteration is different. But probably Shaggy. I work at Michaels and I have a ton of customers tell me I look like him (minus the glasses) I feel like him and I are similar in a lot of ways, though he has me beat on the amount of food he can inhale. My favorite color is green and that came from his iconic green shirt. Plus he has a best Canine pal and I’ve grown up with a dog all my life that’s been my best dog friend.

3. What is your favorite Scooby item in your collection?

This is going to sound dumb, but probably my vhs copy of Scooby-Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed. I remember wanting to go see that movie in theaters so bad and one night my brother surprised me and my siblings with tickets to go see it and I remember going in, sitting down, and watching those monsters I’ve watched for some years now come to life before my eyes. As dumb as it sounds it’s still my favorite movie of all time, I’ve watched more times than I should admit. But it came out on video around my birthday and it was all I wanted. My dad told me he went around the city to find a vhs version of the film because we didn’t have a DVD player yet. I can remember him saying he finally got to a store and saw all the copies of the movie and there was a clerk by them cleaning/organizing other products, and he asked her as he walked down the aisle if that was a vhs copy of the movie, and she picked it up and said yes it is and handed him one. He went above and beyond to make sure I had that film. And that poor vhs is somehow still intact. I now  have four copies of that film, my original vhs, the full screen and widescreen DVD’s, and a blu-Ray copy.

4. What is one Scooby item you would love to add to your collection?

Oh man this is a tough one, I really want the LEGO sets, and a bunch of the video games I missed out on, but I think I’d have to say the soundtrack albums they released (Scooby-Doo’s Snack Tracks, Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost album, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders album) I love music and I think having an official soundtrack of Scooby doo would be the coolest thing, to pop it in the car while heading to work or something and jam out, or even jam out with friends to the music. Something about those have always stuck out to me.

Thanks so much Ashton for sharing your collection and your awesome answers! Here are some more pictures of Ashton's collection:

My Scooby Stuff - Day 242 - Scooby-Doo Sugar Cookies

 Day 242 - Scooby-Doo Sugar Cookies

I love these Scooby-Doo sugar cookies!! They aren't my favorite cookies in the world taste-wise, but they have Scooby on them, which makes them amazing! The box comes with 24 pre-cut sugar cookies wth Scooby's face on them. I was happy to see that the cookie on the box is pretty similar to the way the actual cookies look and they didn't try to make it look like it was drawn by a WB artist as they have done on other products.

The back of the box has a maze on it, the nutrition facts and ingredients, baking instructions and the Pillsbury website info.

This is what the cookies look like before they are baked. All 24 of them sit in a white tray in the box.

This is what they look like after they are cooked. These are sitting on a cooling rack, but they kind of look like maybe I didn't bake them long enough lol. They look pretty much like the non-baked ones.

This is what the sides of the box look like.

Here is a close up of the nutrition facts and ingredients. As you can see, these are not really healthy for you. But they taste good!

The Scooby-Doo sugar cookies are copyright 2016. If you are looking for them, I saw them at Wegmans the other day and ScoobyDoom said he say them at Walmart!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 240 - Mystery Machine Tin

Day 240 - Mystery Machine Tin

I found this tin Mystery Machine at an antique store in the mall yesterday. This antique store was huge! We didn't even get to look at everything. I plan on going back sometime this week to see what else I can find. I did see a Velma figure in a glass case, but by the time I saw it, they were no longer opening the glass cases because they were closing in 30 minutes. The Mystery Machine measures 9 1/4" wide by 5 1/2" tall.

The Mystery Machine opens up so you can store stuff in it. I may put some figures in it or stickers or something.

The outer edges of the Mystery Machine are missing any kind of design. They didn't show the gang from the front like they normally do on Mystery Machine products.

The back is also missing any kind of design, including a license plate.

Depending on which side you look at, Scooby is looking out that window. Scooby's face is also 3D as it is sticking out from the side of the Mystery Machine.

This is what the Mystery Machine looks like when it's open. It measures 2 1/4" deep on the inside.

The tin is copyright 2000 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 239 - 2003 Wall Calendar

Day 239 - 2003 Wall Calendar

I found this 2003 Scooby-Doo wall calendar in the attic. It is a 16-month calendar. It is unopened and very well preserved. I can't believe this calendar is already 15 years old! It doesn't seem possible! The calendar measures 12" wide x 11" tall.

I'm guessing the back of the calendar shows a few of the pictures that are inside the calendar.

This calendar is copyright 2002 and it is printed on 100% recycled paper. The calendar cost $10.99.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 238 - WrestleMania DVD

Day 238 - WrestleMania DVD

Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery is an original Scooby movie. It features WWE Wrestlers like John Cena, Triple H, The Miz, Kane and more. While I own this movie, I haven't watched it yet, or at least I don't remember watching it. I'm not a big WWE fan, so I was kind of annoyed that they did a crossover like this. I guess I shouldn't complain any time they want to put Scooby in a movie though.

The back of the DVD case and the sleeve it came in have a description of the movie and list the special features, which include a behind the scenes look at the voice recording for the movie and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo episode Wrestle Maniacs.

The disc has Scooby and John Cena on it. Similar to the cover of the DVD.

The DVD has a run time of 84 minutes and it is copyright 2014.
