53 Years of Scooby Snacks...or is it Scooby Snax?

When I planned the Scooby Panel about Scooby Snacks I wasn't thinking that they have been around for 53 years! That's probably why I was so surprised that there were so many iterations of Scooby Snacks!

This episode was very research heavy. From having to find the different boxes and taking all the screenshots, it took quite a lot of time to prepare this one. At some point, I want to go through the movies I didn't go through to see if I can find any boxes that I missed.

I really enjoyed looking at the different boxes and shapes of the Scooby Snacks and seeing how they have changed through the years. Scooby Snacks are a staple in Scooby episodes and movies, at least to us fans. I know I like seeing the Scooby Snacks make an appearance.

With only 3 of us on this episode, the conversation went pretty fast. It was weird not having 5 people, but I think it worked out with just Wendy, Alexa and I.

I hope you enjoy the episode!

Can't We All Just Get Along?

I started ScoobyAddicts.com in February of 2007 because I wanted to have everything Scooby in one place for myself and I thought that if anyone else liked it as well, that would be a bonus. I had a previous site called PantherGR's Scooby-Doo Website. PantherGR was a web handle I used and the website was just a rinky-dink little site dedicated to Scooby with some general info.

Over the years, I have compiled information, done some interviews, and I try to post daily on social media. It's not always easy to keep up with things as life gets in the way.  I'm married with kids, a couple dogs, I just moved into a cool Victorian house that everyone refers to as my Scooby-Doo house, and I work full time. I don't always have the time to update new episodes or villains. I try my best, but I know that my website isn't always complete. I do have plans to make a lot of updates soon though.

I don't much appreciate it when someone contacts me and gets angry because my website isn't updated with new episodes, cursing at me because they want the information on the website now. I don't always have time to watch the episodes right away. I also know how frustrating it can be to look up information and not have it available, but there are better ways to go about it than to send me angry messages. Be kind and understand that everyone has something going on in their life.

The greatest thing about the internet is that there are so many options to choose from. Like my website, there are many other fan sites and social media accounts on the internet that have great information. I don't see them as my competition because I believe that the internet is big enough for more than one Scooby-Doo fan site. It would be boring if all anyone got to look at was my website and no one else was able to share their creativity in creating their own.

I don't believe there needs to be jealousy between fan site creators either. As I said in the beginning of this post, I created ScoobyAddicts for me, not because I wanted to be better than anyone else. I wanted to do something that made sense for me and it's a bonus that people like my site. We don't have to look at each other as if we are trying to steal followers away from each other. We all have a common connection and we should be working together and supporting each other.

It's the same with social media. We can all get along and post what we want, repost each other's posts, and live in the social media world peacefully. I love to see pictures of new merchandise, posting new information, pictures of voice actors you've met, interviews that have been done, etc. It's great to have so many people that want to share Scooby-Doo info.

I believe that we can all celebrate Scooby-Doo in our own way and function together as Scooby fans. Whether it's through a website, social media, a podcast, whatever, we shouldn't be putting each other down or bashing each other. It's ok for people to like each one of us or just one of us. We shouldn't be in competition with each other. As long as you aren't stealing someone else's idea, be creative and have fun and lets work together to keep people interested in that fun-loving canine, Scooby-Doo!

Check out some of my favorite Scooby sites, social media accounts and podcasts. (I'm sorry if I forgot anyone. Also note that I only included what I thought was the main account and not all of the social media links for everyone. Please find their other links through their account.)

My Scooby Stuff - Item 387 - Scooby-Doo Chibi Keychain

Item 387 - Scooby-Doo Chibi Keychain

I purchased this Scooby-Doo Chibi Keychain on the BoxLunch website. (Chibi is a Japanese slang word that is used to describe something short.) This Scooby is pretty cute and the Scooby Snacks charm that is attached is awesome!  It retails for $8.90 and with the discount I got, it cost me $6.61. I had it shipped to the store, which took almost 2 weeks for it to get delivered. The keychain is made of metal and measures approximately 2" tall and 1 1/2" wide.

The back of the keychain sort of looks like a dog. It doesn't really look like Scooby from the back.

The card attached to the keychain has the most recent design. I like this design as it add a little pop to the tag instead of it just being a solid color.

The back of the tag shows the price was $8.90 and it is copyright 2019. The keychain was made in China and is for ages 14 and up.

My Scooby Stuff - Item 376 - Scooby Snacks Lunch Sack

Item 376 - Scooby Snacks Lunch Sack

How cute is this Scooby Snacks lunch sack from BoxLunch? I purchased this bag at my local BoxLunch store on Monday, September 2nd when I got the purple Scooby Funko Pop figure. I had seen some ads for the purple Scooby that included this sack and I knew I wanted it. The lunch sack cost $18.90. It measures 10 1/2" tall x 8 1/2" wide.

The sides of the lunch sack are plain and the back of the lunch sack has the Scooby-Doo logo and is also pretty plain.

Here is a close up of the picture on the front of the lunch sack. It has the feel of a brown paper bag that is made much better and more sturdy than paper.

I took this picture in the BoxLunch store. The sack itself doesn't have the 50th logo on it, but the sign they made has it.

The tag says that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this lunch sack benefits Feeding America. I think it's amazing that BoxLunch is helping people in need.

This side of the tag essentially says the same thing, but it also has the price and the copyright info. The lunch sack is copyright 2019.

The inside of the lunch sack is plain.

This is the tag on the inside of the lunch sack.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 360 - Scooby Present Ornament

Day 360 - Scooby Present Ornament

This ornament features Scooby coming out of a present that has other presents in it,a candy cane and a box of Scooby Snacks. He is holding a hamburger and wearing a Santa hat. The ornament stands 4" tall.

You can see Scooby's Santa hat better in the picture on the right.

Also, his Santa hat stands out from the back.

The ornament is copyright 1998 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 354 - Scooby Chimney Ornament

Day 354 - Scooby Chimney Ornament

This ornament features Scooby in a chimney with a bag of presents, including Scooby Snacks. You can see his collar pretty well and he's wearing a Santa hat. The ornament stands 3 1/4" tall.

You can really see Scooby's Santa hat from the sides and the bag with the gifts in it.

Scooby has the wacky eyes again, with one looking down and one looking to the side. It barely looks like a Scooby ornament from the back.

The ornament is copyright 1998 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 345 - Scooby in a Hot Air Balloon Ornament

Day 345 - Scooby in a Hot Air Balloon Ornament

Here is Scooby wearing a Santa hat in a hot air balloon with a hamburger and a box of Scooby Snacks! His eyes are a little odd though. Since the ornament doesn't have a flat bottom that would allow it to stand on the counter itself, I used a medicine cup as it's base. It worked really well! The ornament stands 5 1/4" tall.

You can see it better from the sides that the purple gift is keeping the ornament from sitting flat. The gift is attached to a parachute so Scooby can send it down to a lucky kid.

The ornament is copyright 1998 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 330 - Scooby Gift Ornament

Day 330 - Scooby Gift Ornament

This Scooby ornament I think came in a set. I've had it forever and don't have the box for it. Scooby coming out of a present is too cute! I love it! Scooby measures 1 1/2" tall.

From the sides, you can see Scooby is wearing a Santa hat and there is a bone and an ornament in the box.

The ornament is copyright 1998 and made in China.
