Scott Jeralds Interview

This interview was 2 years in the making and Scott did not disappoint! Over the past 2 years, we have gotten to know Scott a bit.

Scott has had an extensive career in animation and I knew there were projects that he’s worked on that never saw the light of day. I was excited to talk to him about them, and incredibly excited when he offered pictures of those projects to go with the conversation.

One project was called Son of Scooby-Doo, which he first mentioned on The Unmasked History of Scooby-Doo Podcast. I have been obsessed with learning more about this project since that interview aired on August 21, 2020. I had to know what the son of Scooby-Doo looked like and who he hung out.

Scott talks about the Son of Scooby-Doo and some other projects that he worked on with Iwao Takamoto that didn’t get made. He shared some images from those projects, which you can see in the YouTube version of the interview.

In addition to these projects, Scott talks about his career and he tells us some great stories! You don’t want to miss this interview!

Dino Andrade Interview

Dino Andrade is a voice actor who was married to Mary Kay Bergman. Dino has quite the career and his son, Connor, is following in his footsteps.

It’s so great to hear about their amazing voice acting projects and how Dino and his son bond over the work they do. We learned a lot about voice acting, including about the difference between voice acting for a show and voice acting for a video game, which was quite interesting.

Dino talks to us about his career, Connor’s career and Mary Kay. He tells us about Mary Kay as a person, her struggles and how her suicide affected him.

If you are having thoughts of suicide, please see this list of crisis line numbers by country to get help.

Wendy and I want to thank Dino for his time. We enjoyed our conversation with him very much!

We hope you enjoy the episode!

Jerry Eisenberg Interview – Animator, Character Designer, Storyboard Artist and Producer

Jerry Eisenberg is a legend in the animation industry. His resume stems back to when he was 17 and working at MGM with Jack Nicholson. Jerry has an impressive resume! He created characters like Fangface and the Hair Bear Bunch, and he storyboarded the original Scooby-Doo series before it was officially Scooby Doo, Where Are You! . He also worked closely with other legends like Iwao Takamoto, Willie Ito, Jack Kirby and more.

Jerry had so many great stories to tell! We talked to Jerry for over 4 hours! The greatest thing is that he was just as excited to talk to us as we were to talk to him. He kept saying he was just getting warmed up and he wanted to talk more, also making a joke that he wanted his interview to be longer than Carlton’s haha. Raymonde had to come in and tell him to get off the call so he could eat dinner. Jerry even said he’d love to talk to us again and has since asked me when we are

going to do our next call. I cannot even express into words what an amazing feeling that is to us, having someone we admire actually want to keep the conversation going! I will eventually post the clip on Patreon from the episode that shows Wendy and my reactions after he leaves the call, so you’ll get more of an understanding of just how amazing it was for us.

Another highlight of this interview was Raymonde, Jerry’s wife, coming in and talking to us. She is amazing…and very funny! She gave Jerry some ideas of things to talk about, which turned out to be extremely funny stories! We are so thankful to her for giving us 4 hours with Jerry.

I’m so thankful to Wendy and Will for joining me on this interview. I feel like we make a great team!

I don’t want to give anything else away as it’s always better to hear it directly from our guests. We hope you enjoy the episode!

Fred Jones, More Than Just a Guy in an Ascot!

Fred Jones - the leader of the Mystery Inc gang who wears an ascot and loves building traps! His character has changed a bit over the years, and maybe not for the best! In this episode of the Scooby Panel, we talk about Fred, his actors/voice actors, his family members, his relationships and more.

One thing that needs to be said...FRED IS NOT BORING!

It was really cool that Trevor wore his Fred costume and Devin was Bread, Fred's brother. 😂 Surprisingly, Fred has no siblings and very few family members compared to the rest of the gang. Many family members you probably won't know about.

I also want to wish Frank Welker a very happy birthday!!!!! Thank you for almost 54 years of voicing Fred!

Enjoy the episode!

Should They Bring Scrappy Back?

Scrappy is either loved or hated! How do you feel about him and do you think they should bring him back?

In this episode of the Scooby Panel, we talk about different ways to bring Scrappy back! Just like how people feel about Scrappy, you are either going to hate this episode or find it hilarious! We put Scrappy in some interesting scenarios, that you may or may not like, to discuss if we think he should be brought back or not. You might be surprised by some of our answers and by some of the scenarios! There are even visuals for each scenario!

FUN FACT: When we recorded this episode, we managed to clock our longest recording ever...at 6 hours 50 minutes 54 seconds! That is almost 7 hours of us talking about Scooby, Scrappy and a bunch of crazy stuff like how long would we live if there was a zombie apocalypse! The conversations turn really interesting lol!

Do you think they should bring Scrappy back? How would you like to see them bring him back?

Enjoy the episode!

A Scooby Panel Christmas

Christmas is in 2 days! I can't even believe it's December, let alone Christmas. 2022 went so fast!

We celebrated Christmas on the Scooby Panel and it was so much fun! We talked about our Scooby-Doo Christmas traditions, Our favorite Scooby gift that we received for Christmas, Scooby items that don't exist that we would love to see made and we tell some fun holiday stories...one involves a sausage! 😂

I'm honored that I have a great group of friends that love talking about Scooby as much as I do. The total recording was 5 hours 45 minutes 57 seconds, the panel was only 48 minutes of that total time and surprisingly this wasn't our longest recording! We have some amazing conversations before and after the panels!

Do you have any holiday traditions or a favorite Scooby gift that you received?

Bravo Dooby Doo

I hadn't watched Bravo Dooby Doo in so long and then decided to do a Scooby Panel on the special and I forgot how much I loved that episode! It was funny, had some great lines in it and it had all the elements of a great Scooby-Doo episode!

To prep for the panel, not only did I watch the episode at least 10 times, but I also did a little research and came across a great blog post written by Van Partible, who created Johnny Bravo. It's a must-read if you want some behind-the-scenes details about the special.

We had a great time talking about Bravo Dooby Doo. Devin even did his best impression of Scooby saying "Aunt Jebedisssa!" Which I must say is pretty good! You can check that out on YouTube!

This isn't a review of the episode, but it is a discussion about it. We don't rate the episode or any of that, though we all liked it very much!

I hope you enjoy this one!

A Scooby-Doo Question and Answer Game

On today's Scooby Panel episode, we decided to do something totally different. Actually, this wasn't even recorded as a panel, but I knew ahead of time that it would be turned into a panel.

Alexa from the Unmasked History of Scooby-Doo Podcast and I decided that during one of our Scooby chats, we would come up with some questions, similar to the game Table Topics. We did not tell anyone what we were doing. The invite simply said:

"You're Invited!
Date: Sunday, June 12
Time: 3pm Eastern
Place: Zoom

We will be doing a Scooby Zoom call, but this is going to be structured! Join us as Alexa and I host a little Scooby party! Bring your own Scooby Snacks and come have some fun. This won't be run like a panel, but it will eventually be a Scooby Panel episode. Let me know if you can make it. Zoom link will be shared later!"
Alexa and I came up with some quick warm-up questions first, followed by the actual questions.

And Scooby Panel #34 was the result!

This was a lot of fun to do. Learning about each other and sharing our love of Scooby-Doo is what makes doing the panels so awesome! We finally found a safe place to talk about Scooby where no one is rolling their eyes or tuning us out. We are all excited to hear what each other has to say. It's amazing!

Check out the panel and let us know your answers to the questions that were asked. And stay tuned because part 2 is coming...eventually!
