My Scooby Stuff - Day 151 - Scooby Dog Collar

Day 151 - Scooby Dog Collar

I got this Scooby-Doo dog collar last year for my birthday. It is really cool and it fits my dog really well! I thought about just keeping it in the collection and not using it, but I really like the way my pup looks in it.

This is my dog, Blue. I call him Blueasaurus. He is 2 years old this month and he's a bit crazy! He loves us so much! He gives us hugs and follows us around all the time. He is so sweet! He likes to bark and howl when it's time to eat or go outside. Sometimes he even sounds like Chewbacca. He loves to run around in circles in the back yard and mess with his brother, Zander.

He looks good in the Scooby collar!

One day, I was in the kitchen doing some stuff and Blue comes downstairs wearing clothes. I guess my son got bored and decided to put some clothes on him. He looked so cute!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Blue! We were taking a walk around town and he just sat for a couple minutes.

Blue has kind of destroyed the SD tag on the collar over the past year. He's been chewing on it. I don't know when he does it, I have never seen him chew on the collar before, but he's chewed off the edges of the tag.

I was not able to find copyright info on the tag. You can find both the tag and the collar on Amazon:

May Fan Spotlight - Ross

I'm so excited to introduce you all to Ross. Ross is the webmaster of ScoobyFan.net, where you can find Scooby news, DVD and comic book reviews, a movie and DVD guide and series information for Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

In addition to his website, you can also find Ross on Twitter.

What was the first Scooby series you ever watched?

My first series was SDWAY. I rented the VHS of "Scooby-Doo and a Mummy, Too" from Blockbuster Video(remember those?). I loved it. From there, I moved onto the reruns on Cartoon Network,  which was basically The Scooby Network at the time.

Who is your favorite member of the gang and why?

Shaggy & Scooby of course! Because they're such lovable scaredy cats.

What is your favorite Scooby item in your collection?

My favorite item I don't actually have anymore(was stolen). It was a press kit for Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. It came with a review copy of the VHS, a plushie, and some other cool stuff. As for items currently in my collection, I would have to say the limited edition Where Are You Complete Series set, and my Mystery Incorporated poster from Comic Con(which I would love to get signed one day!).

What is one Scooby item you would love to add to your collection?

I always wanted that Scooby-Doo telephone from the 90s. I remember seeing it and thinking that was so cool.

What made you start your own Scooby-Doo website/blog?

It was the announcement that CN was working on a live-action prequel film that rekindled my fandom(I had fallen off for a few years).  That led me to seeking out Scooby fan sites, joining the ScoobyAddicts forums, and deciding it would be fun to create a blog of my own. Even though I haven't kept it updated much in recent years, http://ScoobyFan.net  is turning 10 years old next year. So excited!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 150 - Mark of the Scarab Comic

Day 150 - Mark of the Scarab Comic

Scooby-Doo...Mysery Comics Mark of the Scarab. This is the other comic book I got at the Fairpoint Toy Show on Saturday. This is Mystery Comics No. 24 and it is dated April 1974. I bought it for $3, though the original $.20 would have been better!

Here are a couple of the pages in the book. Monkey See, Scooby-Doo is the other story in the book.

Again, the Mystery Machine is pink and green. I still don't understand why it is pink!

This comic is copyright 1974 and printed in the USA. Funny how is says "Published monthly except January, March, May, September and November." That is 5 months out of the year it isn't published...almost 1/2 the year!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 149 - Shaggy and Scooby Figure

Day 149 - Shaggy and Scooby Figure

I got this figure at the Fairpoint Toy Show on Saturday. The figure was the 2nd figure I got. I paid $2.50 for this. There is some wear and tear on it, but it's still in good condition.

Who doesn't love when Scooby gets scared and jumps into Shaggy's arms? I really liked this figure and needed to add it to my collection!

Look at how Scooby is really holding on to Shaggy hehe.

The figure is copyright 1998 and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 148 - Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo Board Game

Day 148 - Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo Board Game

I picked up this Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo Game on Saturday at the Fairpoint Toy Show. I paid $20 for the game. It is missing one of the stands for the Scooby game pieces and one of the dots. It's in pretty good condition.

This is everything that comes with the game, except the dots. I forgot to put them in the picture. They are just colored cardboard dots.

Here is the game board. It kind of reminds me of monopoly with everything around the edge of the board.

Here are the Scooby game pieces. The dots match the colors of the game pieces.

The game is copyright 1983.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 147 - The Miniature Haunt Comic

Day 147 - The Miniature Haunt Comic

I got this comic yesterday at the Fairpoint Toy Show. We searched through a ton of boxes to find some Scooby comics. I only found 2. The comic was $6, but I got it for $3 because they were 1/2 off. I love that the comic is purple! The cover is interesting.

The Mystery Machine is pink and green in this comic, which is really weird. Why did they choose pink? Was that an original concept for the Mystery Machine or was it just done this way for the comic?

This comic is copyright 1972 and printed in the USA.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 146 - Scooby Figure

Day 146 - Scooby Figure

I got this Scooby-Doo figure today at the Fairpoint Toy Show. He measures 8 1/4" long x 4" tall. I got him for $2.50. There was a whole bucket of Scooby figures at 2 for $5. I only got 2 and this was one of them.

He has some wear and tear on him. Some of the paint on him is scratched and there are a few marks on him.

He is in good condition otherwise. I think this is the biggest Scooby figure I have now. He looks like he's sneaking around.

This figure is copyright 1999 by Equity Marketing Inc. and made in China.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 145 - Shaggy Paper Mask

Day 145 - Shaggy Paper Mask

I got this Shaggy paper mask at the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Tour at the Bridgewater Mall in NJ on September 19, 2015. They made the Shaggy mask so it resembles the Shaggy LEGO character. I think they did a good job! Around the face is perforated to make it easy to cut it out. The eyes are as well so you can truly turn it into a mask.

The mask is copyright 2015 and it was made specifically for the LEGO Scooby-Doo Mystery Tour.

Check out the Scooby paper mask I posted on day 70!

My Scooby Stuff - Day 144 - Wii Spooky Swamp

Day 144 - Wii Spooky Swamp

I remember Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Swamp being a fun, but kind of difficult, game. There were some parts of it that were very frustrating to me. It has been a really long time since I've played the game, so I could be thinking of a different Scooby game too.

I purchased the game pre-owned for $17.99 to cut down on the cost of the game. Since it was pre-owned, it didn't come with a booklet. It is now going for $49.56 on Amazon. It was released for Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows.

The game is rated E10 and for up to 2 players. The back of the box shows some screenshots of the game and gives some more info on playing it. You get to play as one of the gang members.

The disc has a picture of the gang in a swamp, the same picture that is on the cover of the case.

Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Swamp is copyright 2010.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 143 - Scooby Magic Towel

Day 143 - Scooby Magic Towel

Here is a Scooby-Doo Magic Towel that I opened. It's been used many times, which is why it looks so worn. It is frayed around the edges and the color has faded a lot. Poor Scooby is cross-eyed. He looks like he's being hypnotized.

The tag is also faded, but parts of it are still sort of readable. This cloth is copyright 2011 and made of 100% cotton.

My Scooby Stuff - Day 142 - Comic-Con Bag

Day 142 - Comic-Con Bag

This Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated bag was from San Diego Comic-Con in 2010. It was one of 11 different designs that they gave out. The others bags included: “The Big Bang Theory,” “Chuck,” “Fringe,” “Human Target,” “Nikita,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “The Looney Tunes Show,” “Clash of the Titans” or “Brightest Day.”  The inside of the bag has a section for a poster and a much larger section as the main part of the bag. I bought this bag on eBay. Sadly, I have never been to Comic-Con.

This is the back of the bag. It is an appealing design, though the side with Scooby and the gang is better!

Both sides of the bag have Warner Bros written down them and they are a bright green color. It looks like all of the bags have the same side panels.

The bag measures 23 1/2" wide x 29 1/2" tall. It's a really big bag. It must have been difficult to walk around with these bags.

The tag on the inside of the bag shows that the bag was made in China.

The bag is copyright 2010.
